Life!

It has been about a year since my last post....and more life changing stuff! I guess I need to write about the happy stuff also.

This started as a happy event, but now it is a tragedy for us. Our precious baby was lost on Tuesday, October 6. I will always remember that day so no details are necessary here. At the moment I am so afraid of what will come next. Will we be able to have a child? Will I be able to go through a pregnancy without overwhelming fear? How can I get back to my normal self? I guess only time will tell. God help me get back to me!

What a time!

Since creating this blog, lots of things have happened in our lives. The biggest event was when Dan had a car wreck. I received a call at work from his mom that he had been in a wreck in Rockwall. I was able to talk with him as the police and ambulance were arriving to help him. He said he was having a hard time breathing which was so alarming to me. As I was driving about 80 miles an hour from Mesquite, I prayed that God would keep Dan safe, and that I could arrive quickly. As I neared the site of the wreck, my stomach dropped to my feet seeing his crumpled vehicle. As I got out of my car, I was informed that he was already taken by the ambulance to the emergency room. I had just missed him. I frantically drove to the hospital not knowing what was wrong with him, or what I would see when I got there. When I found him in the emergency room, he was all in one piece! He was lying stiff as a board waiting to be seen by a doctor, but no cuts or obvious bruises. It turned out that he bruised his sternum and was really sore the next few days! Praise God!

Since the accident, his truck was totaled, we purchased a new truck, and Dan has had to have treatments on his neck and shoulder. He continues to suffer from neck and shoulder pain, but the physical therapists is great. Hopefully he won't have to have further procedures to correct his problems.

This is kind of exciting for me to start this blog. I have many friends and family that have created a blog, and I love keeping up with them. Hope you will enjoy as I add to this and share our lives with you! More to come later!
